A Canadian politician had a brief problem that caused him to miss an important vote on a piece of anti-terror legislation, but his explanation was epic.
Pat Martin from Winnipeg inexplicably got up from his seat and walked out of chambers while the vote was being taken. He later returned and asked that his vote be counted. The Parliament speaker accepted his vote, but lawmakers on the other side of the aisle questioned its validity because he wasn't present.
Martin stood up and hilariously explained that he had to leave the room because he'd recently purchased new underwear that was too tight and was making it difficult for him to sit for long periods of time. I mean - I can't make this stuff up...watch the video below for yourself...LOLOLOLOLOL
